Fix You

Hay canciones que da igual el número de veces que las escuches, siempre consiguen ponerte los pelos de punta. Y esta es una de ellas. He visto cientos de covers, instrumentales, cantadas por hombres, por mujeres, en series, en directos de Coldplay... y no ha habido vez que no me haya emocionado. Supongo que eso la convierte en una de mis canciones favoritas. 

Me gustan las canciones que al escucharlas sientes que están escritas para ti. Sabes que la escuchan miles de personas en el mundo, pero cuando suena, sientes que es tuya... y no me refiero a sentirte identificado, sino a cuando entiendes de lo que habla, y sabes que en algún momento alguien debe escuchar esa letra, parece lo mismo, pero no lo es. O al menos, no para mí. 

Podría poner cientos de vídeos, pero he hecho selección más cortita. El primero de un concurso de baile de la BBC, me parece increíble como solo hay que verles bailar durante un minuto y medio para que tu cabeza se vaya a otro  lugar. El segundo, es una cover en acústico, porque sí, todo suena mejor en acústico. El tercero, es una versión que hizo Matthew Morrison en Glee, me gusta mucho el final de la canción con el coro. Y el último, es un vídeo que publicó la Asociación Española contra el Cáncer, "contigo seremos más fuertes". Como he dicho antes... 

There are songs that no matter how many times you listen them, always give you goosebumps. And this is one of them. I've seen hundreds of covers, instrumentals, sung by men, by women, in tv series, in direct of Coldplay ... and there has been no time that I was not excited. I guess that makes it one of my favorite songs.

I like songs that you feel they are written for you. You know that thousands of people in the world listen that song, but when the song sounds, you feel it's yours ... I do not mean to feel identified, but when you understand what it's talking, and you know that at some point someone should listen that lyric, it seems the same, but it is not. Or at least, not for me.

I could put hundreds of videos, but I've made a short selection . The first is about a dance contest in  BBC, the second is a cover on acoustic, because yes, everything sounds better on acoustic. The third is a version by Matthew Morrison on Glee, I really like the end of the song with the chorus. And the last one is a video that was published by the Spanish Association Against Cancer, "you'll be stronger." As I said before, there are messages that people need to listen.
